Aircraft Private Hire

Check Flight

All pilots hiring aircraft will be required to provide evidence of currency on type and will be required to undertake a check flight with an instructor.

If you would like to hire the aircraft for an overnight trip or an extended period, minimum hire charges may apply. Please ask prior to booking.

Aircraft hired on VDO & wet basis unless otherwise mutually arranged.

Inclusions

Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD), including GST, but are subject to review and variation without notice. All rates are ‘wet’, which means they include fuel and oil. They also include insurance.

Exclusions

Landing fees and airservices charges are NOT included.

Fuel

Fuel cards are provided for all aircraft (Viva, Air BP).

If you purchase fuel yourself, you a will be reimbursed at the Alice Springs current bowser rate applicable to the period of hire (evidence of purchase will be required for reimbursement).

If you purchase fuel at a location where the bowser rate is greater than Alice Springs, you will be required to pay the difference in the rate to Alice Springs bowser rate.

At fault incident / accident

All pilots hiring aircraft who are at fault resulting in an aircraft damage or being stranded will be liable for any recovery charges, insurance premium excess. For further details, please discuss prior to hiring.

Charter Flights

Please note that a quote is based on suitable weather on the day of the flight and does not include diversions and/or delays caused by adverse weather. Any substantial diversions/delays will incur additional costs.

We request that all passengers arrive at least 30 mins before departure at our terminal to enable us to depart on time.

Payload Available figure given within the quote is indicative only. Actual Payload is weather and passengers/freight weight dependent, and at the discretion of the Pilot in Command.

We reserve the right to change and substitute aeroplane class, type and registration, as well as cross-hire aeroplane and flight crew without prior notice. We reserve the right to postpone, cancel or redirect the flight due to weather conditions, war, strikes, civil unrest, riots, sabotage, hijacking, terrorist attacks or any other factors over which we have no control or when the safety of passengers and/or flight crew can reasonably be assessed to be in danger, at the discretion of the Pilot in Command.

If you would like to accept our quote, please confirm early as to avoid disappointment.

Ground Wait Time

In the interests of safety and in accordance with aviation regulations, a suitable air-conditioned resting place must be provided to the pilot when ground waiting is required before the return journey(s). The requirements may vary depending on wait times and pilot flight and duty times to meet the requirements of the customer.

The first 2 hrs of the aircraft wait time are included in the price. Every hour after, is charged at $60.00 per hour or $300.00 per day, over 5 hours waiting time, and $250.00 for overnight fee applies.

If a pilot and aircraft are required to stay overnight, the pilot must be provided with suitable accommodation and meals at the client’s expense for the night(s) away from Alice Springs. These can be arranged by us for a fee and will be an additional cost to the quoted travel.

Charter Flight Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of a confirmed flight must be in writing.

If flights are cancelled 48 hours or more before the time of departure, no fee will apply.

If flights are cancelled with 24 to 48 hours’ notice of departure time, 50% of the fee will apply.

If flights are cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice of departure time, the full fee will apply.
